In these Terms, “Wastix”, “MeGoo Removals LTD”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to the business identified above. “You” and “your” refer to the person or organisation booking our services.

2. Our Services

We collect and remove household and business waste in London: we load it, take it away and dispose of it at authorised waste sites.

The details of your job, including the waste, the collection address, the date, the arrival window and the price, are those agreed with you when you book.

3. How Booking Works

  • You send us a booking request on our website, by WhatsApp or by phone, telling us what the waste is and where it is, ideally with photos.
  • We contact you, normally within 10 minutes, by WhatsApp or phone with your price.
  • If you accept the price, your collection is booked.

A contract between you and Wastix is formed when you accept the price we give you.

Sending a booking request does not commit you to anything until you accept the price. Please check the details we send you and tell us straight away if anything is wrong.

4. Prices

Your price is based on the photos and description you give us. It includes:

  • loading by our crew;
  • labour;
  • disposal at authorised waste sites; and
  • your waste transfer note.

A fixed price

If the waste is as described and shown in your photos, the price we agreed is the price you pay. We will not change it on the day.

The price can only change if the waste or the job is clearly different from what you told us, for example if:

  • there is more waste than described or shown;
  • there are items or types of waste that you did not tell us about;
  • the waste is much heavier than could be expected; or
  • getting to the waste, or taking items apart, is much harder than described.

If that happens, we will tell you the new price before we load anything extra. If you do not agree, we will take only the waste that was included in the original price, at the original price.

All prices are in pounds sterling (£). If we charge VAT, the price we give you includes it.

5. Payment

You pay after the job is done, by bank transfer. There is nothing to pay when you book.

After the collection we send you an invoice with our bank details and a payment reference. Payment is due on the day of the collection, unless your invoice gives a later date.

We will never ask for your card details or online banking passwords.

If you are a business customer and pay late, we may charge interest and recovery costs under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.

6. Waste We Cannot Accept

You must not give us waste we cannot accept, unless we have agreed in writing to take it.

Waste we cannot accept

  • Asbestos or asbestos-containing materials
  • Paint
  • Chemicals
  • Gas bottles and cylinders
  • Pressurised containers
  • Flammable or explosive substances
  • Explosives or ammunition
  • Radioactive materials
  • Clinical or infectious waste
  • Controlled or illegal substances
  • Contaminated soil or materials
  • Liquids needing specialist disposal

This list is not complete: it also includes any other waste we are not licensed to carry or dispose of. If you are not sure about something, send us a photo and we will tell you.

If we find waste we cannot accept, we may leave it behind. Where the law allows, we may charge you reasonable costs caused by it, for example if it is hidden inside other waste.

7. Your Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • describe the waste accurately and tell us about anything that could affect the job;
  • give us accurate contact details and the correct collection address;
  • tell us in advance about stairs, narrow access, gates, distance from the road, parking restrictions or anything else that affects access;
  • make sure we can get to the waste safely, and that there is somewhere for our van to park close by;
  • only give us waste that is yours to dispose of, or that you have permission to dispose of;
  • not give us waste we cannot accept;
  • sign the waste transfer note; and
  • pay on the day of the collection.

8. Access and Collection Conditions

Your price reflects where you told us the waste is, for example roadside, in the garden, indoors, in the basement, in the loft or on the roof, and which floor.

If getting to the waste is much harder than described, the price may change as set out in “Prices”.

We may refuse or postpone a collection if access is unsafe or unlawful, or would put our crew, vehicle or your property at unreasonable risk.

If that happens, we will agree another way or another time with you.

9. Dismantling and Removal of Items

Please tell us when you book if anything needs taking apart. If it was not included in your price, the price may change as set out in “Prices”.

We take care when removing and taking items apart. We cannot guarantee that walls, floors or fittings will be unmarked where items are fixed in place or difficult to remove, and unless we agree otherwise, we do not repair or redecorate afterwards.

10. Arrival Times and Delays

You choose one of our arrival windows:

  • 8:00 AM – 11:30 AM
  • 11:30 AM – 3:00 PM
  • 3:00 PM – 6:30 PM
  • 6:30 PM – 10:00 PM

We arrive at some point during your window, not at an exact time. Same-day collections are available when you book before 6pm and depend on availability.

If we are running late, we will let you know as soon as we can. We are not responsible for delays caused by things outside our reasonable control, such as severe weather, road closures, accidents or vehicle breakdowns.

Nothing in this section affects your statutory rights.

11. Things Left in the Waste

Everything you give us is treated as waste. Once it has been taken away, we cannot get it back.

Before we arrive, please check bags, boxes, drawers, pockets and furniture for anything you want to keep, such as money, keys, documents or jewellery.

12. Waste Disposal and Waste Transfer Notes

Once we have collected your waste, we are responsible for carrying it and disposing of it lawfully at authorised waste sites, recycling or reusing it where we can.

The law requires a waste transfer note for every collection. It records the waste we collected and is signed by you and by us. We will give you a copy.

Your duty of care

Everyone who hands over waste has a legal duty to give it to a registered waste carrier and describe it accurately. Our waste carrier registration is shown in “About Us”.

13. Standard of Service

We will provide our services with reasonable care and skill.

Nothing in these Terms limits your statutory rights as a consumer.

14. Problems With the Service

If something is wrong with our service, please tell us as soon as you can so we can put it right.

Depending on the problem and your statutory rights, we may come back to finish the job, put it right, reduce the price or give a refund.

15. Cancelling or Rescheduling

Free to cancel or reschedule

You can cancel or move your collection at any time before we start, free of charge. If we arrive and cannot collect, for example because nobody is there or we cannot get to the waste, there is no charge either.

Please tell us as early as you can by WhatsApp, phone or email so we can offer your slot to someone else. A new date depends on availability.

16. Your Legal Right to Cancel

If you are a consumer and book with us online, by WhatsApp or by phone, the law gives you the right to cancel within 14 days of booking, without giving a reason.

Because cancelling before we start is always free, this right mainly matters once a job has started. When you book a collection within those 14 days, you are asking us to carry out the job during the cancellation period. This means:

  • if you cancel after we have started, you pay for the work done up to that point; and
  • once the job is finished, your right to cancel ends.

To cancel, tell us clearly using the contact details in these Terms. You can use the model cancellation form at the end of these Terms, but you do not have to.

Nothing in these Terms removes any cancellation rights you have under consumer law.

17. Changes or Cancellation by Wastix

Occasionally we may need to move or cancel a collection, for example because of illness, vehicle problems, severe weather, unsafe conditions or information about the job being clearly inaccurate.

If so, we will tell you as soon as we can and offer another date. As you only pay after the job is done, you will not have paid anything for a collection we cancel.

This does not affect your other legal rights.

18. Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful.

In particular, nothing excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

If you are a consumer, we are responsible for losses that are a foreseeable result of our breaking these Terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for losses that:

  • were not reasonably foreseeable when you booked;
  • were not caused by our breach or negligence;
  • arise from inaccurate or incomplete information you gave us; or
  • result from unsafe, prohibited or unlawful waste you gave us.

If you book for personal purposes, we are not responsible for business losses such as loss of profit, revenue or business opportunity.

Business customers

If you are a business customer, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses or loss of profit, and our total liability for any job is limited to the price of that job, except where the law does not allow this.

Your statutory rights are not affected.

19. Damage to Property

We take reasonable care when carrying out every job.

Please tell us before we start about anything fragile or anything that needs special care.

We are not responsible for damage caused by existing defects, hidden weaknesses, unsafe conditions or things we could not reasonably have known about before starting.

Where damage is caused by our negligence or breach of contract, your legal rights are not affected.

20. Events Outside Our Reasonable Control

Neither you nor Wastix will be responsible for failing to do something because of circumstances genuinely outside that party's reasonable control, such as severe weather, flooding, fire, accidents, road closures or government restrictions.

If this stops us carrying out your collection, we will agree another date with you. This does not affect payment for work already done.

21. Photos of Your Job

We may take photos of the waste and the cleared area, and use them on our website and social media to show our work. We make sure no people, number plates, house numbers or full addresses can be seen.

If you would rather we did not use photos of your job, tell us at any time and we will stop using them. Our Privacy Policy has more detail.

22. Personal Information

We use personal information as described in our Privacy Policy, which explains what we collect, how we use it, who we share it with and your rights.

23. Website Content

We aim to keep our website accurate and up to date, but small errors can happen. The details agreed when you book are what count.

The content, branding, graphics and text on our website are owned by us or used with permission, and are protected by intellectual-property law.

24. Subcontractors

We may use other licensed waste carriers or crew to carry out a collection for us. We remain responsible to you for the job.

25. Complaints

We want to resolve complaints fairly and quickly.

Please contact us with your name, your booking reference, what went wrong and what you would like us to do.

We will look into it and reply as soon as we can.

26. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The Terms that apply to your booking are the ones in force when you booked, unless the law requires a change or you agree to a later version.

The latest version is always on this page, with the date it was last updated.

27. Severability

If a court decides that part of these Terms cannot be enforced, the rest still applies.

28. No Waiver

If we do not enforce a right under these Terms straight away, we have not given it up.

29. Governing Law

If you are a consumer living in the United Kingdom, these Terms are governed by the law of the part of the UK where you live, and you can bring proceedings in your local courts.

Business customers

If you are a business customer, these Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
