How fridge collection is priced.

Fridges and freezers vary a lot in size and weight, so we price them from a photo, usually within 10 minutes.

Why fridges need special handling

Fridges and freezers contain refrigerant gases and insulating foam that harm the ozone layer and the climate if they escape. That’s why they can’t go in a skip or out with your rubbish.

They have to go to an authorised site where the gases are removed safely before the metal and plastic are recycled. That’s where we take yours, and you get a waste transfer note as proof.

Before we arrive

  • Switch it off and empty it the day before, with the door open and a towel underneath so it can defrost.
  • If it’s plumbed in for water or ice, have it disconnected before we arrive.
  • Tell us the floor and whether there’s a lift when you book.
